Bagels date back over six centuries. The bagel also is known by beygl, bajgiel, and beigel amongst the varying communities.
This simple bagel has a lot of conflicting stories on the origin of its history. From what I have read and the little that I know, it originated from Germany. The settlers moved east to Poland where it was part of the Jewish community.
Bagels can be topped with seeds, the traditional ones being a poppy seed and sesame seeds.
For this recipe, I opted for what was in my Quarantine Pantry. I was lucky to have poppy seeds and everything bagel seasonings.
You can find the recipe below. Let us know what your favorite flavor bagel is? I would love to hear.
